FICO consultant with global VAT expertise for Poland rollout. Minimum 8 weeks, requiring travel to Poland.

Customer has Marketing & Distribution business throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, which more or less deal in various trading contracts for metals. Most of these metals / Steel are bought and held in inventory across various storage locations around the world (i.e. Switzerland legal entity has bought and is holding inventory in Egypt that will be sold to a buyer in Germany). They think they could possibly have one legal entity with 2000 different storage locations around the world (i.e. not sure if these Storage locations would need to be Plants or Storage locations in SAP). The Go-Live planned for these M&D businesses are Mid to late 2009. However, we are starting the process now for building out a global design.

Skill set required:
- Global VAT design concept for all of M&D (Europe, Asia, Australia, US).
- SAP VAT configuration expert

– Knowledge about GTS/GTM, Customs as it relates to VAT reporting (i.e. INTRASTAT/EXTRASTAT)
- Legal Requirements for Reporting VAT.
- Most effective way to manage inventory as pertains to meeting legal reporting requirements, transfer pricing and customs documents. (I.e. Plants Abroad functionality?)
