Short Description:
Senior level VB 6.0 developer for support work that includes high level design, estimate labor, code, unit test and as-built design.

Complete Description:
The programmer will be responsible for working with a small but experienced support team of business analysts, testers and designer/programmers to rapidly gain the understanding necessary to design, code and unit test changes to an existing base of software. This is a small team environment that values process to produce quality software and documentation in a timely fashion. Experience with trading, financial, natural gas, or power business areas are favorable considerations but not required. Demonstrated experience and skills in design, coding and unit testing for changes to existing applications and data. For any given change, the programmer will analyze the requirement document written by a business analyst, then develop a high level design that is compatible with existing software, followed by a labor estimate to plan delivery dates. Program the code (VB6 and SQL) and unit test the changes. The application software and data are custom for the APS energy trading business process, operate as Windows forms client server architecture (2 tiers) and are written in VB6 and MS SQL 2005.
