How to add my name to a Skill Category or Location Category
General Instructions
We assume that you have already signed up
with the Guild and have a member id. When you signed up, the program
created an Information Profile page. At the bottom of the page you
will find your member number.
Getting into a Skill Category
- From your information Profile page, click on the "Skill Set" button
at the bottom of the page. This will prompt for your password. If nothing
happens make sure that JavaScript is enabled on your browser.
- Enter your password. This will
bring up a long page which
lists all of the existing skill categories. Next to each is a checkbox.
Click on the checkboxes to put a check next to all categories in which you
feel you are an expert. To remove yourself from a category just remove
the checkmark.
- Click on the Submit button. This may take 10-20 seconds to process.
The Skill Category list will now contain your name, listed by availability
date.
But you will not see your name in the list unless you click on the RELOAD button
on your browser while you are looking at the page containing the list.
If the category you would like to use does not exist, send email to
admin@scguild.com and we will add
it to the list.
Getting into a Geographic Location Category
- From your information Profile page, click on the "Location" button
at the bottom of the page. This will prompt for your password. If nothing
happens make sure that JavaScript is enabled on your browser.
- Enter your password. This will bring up a
page which
lists all of the existing states and countries. Next to each is a checkbox.
Click on the checkboxes to put a check next to all locations that you
feel you would like to work in. To remove yourself from a category just remove
the checkmark.
- At the bottom of the form is a text field to further describe where you
will work if you need to. There is also a checkbox to indicate if you are
willing to relocate (temporary or permanent), and a checkbox to indicate
if you are willing to work remotely over the internet (almost everybody does).
- Click on the Submit button. This may take 10-20 seconds to process.
The Location Category list will now contain your name, listed by availability date.
But you will not see your name in the list unless you click on the RELOAD button
on your browser while you are looking at the page containing the list.
If you would like a country that is not listed, PLEASE send email to
admin@scguild.com and request that
it be added.
