MULTIPLE POSITIONS: Solaris Kernel Engineer JOB REQUIREMENTS: 7 3-5 Years of SUN Solaris Platform Development experience is a necessity.. 7 Excellent knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, NetBIOS) is required -Big plus for candidates w/experience in TCP/IP acceleration software experience. 7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 7 Commercial application development knowledge is necessary. 7 MSEE or higher degree required ANOTHER POSITION FOR THE SAME COMPANY: *******POSITION:Director of Platforms********* JOB DESCRIPTION: Lead multiple teams of engineers in the development of software/hardware platforms for current/future customers. This position requires the ability to work with other groups to ensure timely releases, working with marketing and customers to define future product direction, and setting aggressive goals for the engineering team to attain. Job Requirements: 7 5-7 Years of SUN Solaris Platform Development experience is a necessity. 7 5+ years of Director/Management experience. 7 Excellent knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, NetBIOS) is required 7 Good Understanding of Windows 9x and NT. 7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 7 Commercial application development knowledge is necessary. 7 MSEE or higher degree required SIZZLE ABOUT THE COMPANY: Product is a software platform that integrates with wireless phone carriers to speed up data transfer for web enabled wireless devices up to tenfold their current speed, using TCP. Their largest client is one of the largest telco carriers. with another major carrier on the verge of signing on the dotted line shortly. They have a near monopoly on their technchnology. So, with large funding, product line already under construction and customers already lined up (globally), and producing revenue, they are ready to really step up to the major leagues. Their founders are a group of PhD's, many out of major wireless carriers (AT&T, Ericson, etc.)...the same companies that make up their target market! This high profile startup has about 50 currently , it is funded by one of the top three VC firms in Silicon Valley. You will be will not be dissapointed.
