Redesigned,
restructured and redeveloped the Company’s Commercial SecuTrak Escrow
Accounting product. Originally a Cobol based system I personally re-implemented
the entire underlying coding structure, redesigned the User Interface and
re-implemented the complete functionality of the product using VB6.0, SQL and
ODBC. Whereas SecuTrak was a single user environment it is now a full-blown
multi-user, security/administrator environment utilizing modern components,
structures and concepts.

2/1998-6/1998
¨
Designed and
implemented an international data collection system for a $30 Billion client of
Andersen & Co. The system tracked, managed and analyzed data from
approximately 100 worldwide locations. It consisted of Business Unit and
Functional Area information such as information Systems, Human Resources,
Administration, etc. while maintaining distinction by Research and Development,
Marketing, Sales, Special Projects, etc. Additionally, all information was
maintained by Locale within Country within Region within Business Unit.
Subsequent implementations provide for multiple case studies and restructuring
of functions within and amongst locations. The end result was intended to
permit the client to restructure its enterprise on a worldwide basis,
reorganize its facilities, reduce staffing, etc. It was my job to design and
build the entire system.
¨
Worked with high
level senior staff consultants to translate their needs to this automated
environment. We were on a strict deadline. I finished the task in 67% of the
scheduled time and with no work plan or project specifications provided by
either the client or Andersen.
DuPont
Corporation, Consultant
Responsible
for the design and implementation, with no client provided work plan or
specifications, a third party compliance tracking system. Assembled information
coming from over 1000 vendors to DuPont that indicated the status of Y2K
compliance of those vendors. This was critical because if a supplier failed to
provide its product(s) to DuPont then DuPont could be materially affected. The
end results of this system provided meaningful statistics and reports to Y2K
Project Management team(s) who subsequently continued to track and offer
assistance to vendors.

The initial application was a conversion
of a FoxPro based Certificates Of Analysis production system. Responsible for
translating this system into an Access 2.1 version. Acquired a great deal of
knowledge about COA and underlying QA/QC requirements for the issuance of a
COA. As a result, I studied ISO9000 and GMP constructs as relates to both QC/QC
laboratory processing and software systems in general and subsequently included
software related compliance issue into a general purpose fully secured product
which manages and tracks major components of QA/QC laboratory management
day-to-day operations.
¨
Worked with the
Manager of QA/QC for a major chemicals corporation in acquiring my awareness
and fully satisfied all aspects of large scale tracking and management.

Was originally
presented with a project plan that had failed to produce a working system for
over two and a half years. After evaluation of this plan, it was necessary to
start all over and create a new plan. Within 4 and 1/2 months we produced a
working system which successfully accomplished every goal stated by management
