·         Text Box: •	Successfully negotiated a 7-figure marketing-technical agreement with a major computer corporation. Conceived and developed an innovative new software program on which this deal was based.

Oppenheimer Securities, Inc./CIBC World Markets, Consultant, 2/2001-6/2001

 

·        Personally designed and built a VB, Sybase, ISAM, Liant software bridge between the Company’s Sunguard Portfolio Management System and Company Account Reps, Traders. And supporting systems. The resultant software bridge will be a real-time management tool that polls for new orders and resultant executions providing live updating of and for knowledge sources and repositories.

 

Insys Development Corporation., Consultant, 9/2000-2/2001

 

·        Redesigned, restructured and redeveloped the Company’s Commercial SecuTrak Escrow Accounting product. Originally a Cobol based system I personally re-implemented the entire underlying coding structure, redesigned the User Interface and re-implemented the complete functionality of the product using VB6.0, SQL and ODBC. Whereas SecuTrak was a single user environment it is now a full-blown multi-user, security/administrator environment utilizing modern components, structures and concepts.

  • Design and develop a high level Executive Human Resources Personal Evaluation System.

 

ADC & Associates, Inc.,Consultant, 1/1998-5/2000

 

  • Designed and developed a high level Decision Support System for client corporations. The initial problem solved allowed a firm to see pictures of what the enterprise looks like from its financial perspective. The system allowed the enterprise to get a firm grasp on the Sites, Business Units, Functional Areas, Regions, Countries and Locales of which it is comprised.  The system was concerned about the date and time relevance of the information. Once done the user was able to change anything and everything to see quickly what the corporate picture looked like with any change.

 

Andersen & Company, Business Solutions, Applications Software Consultant, 2/1998-6/1998

 

¨      Designed and implemented an international data collection system for a $30 Billion client of Andersen & Co. The system tracked, managed and analyzed data from approximately 100 worldwide locations. It consisted of Business Unit and Functional Area information such as information Systems, Human Resources, Administration, etc. while maintaining distinction by Research and Development, Marketing, Sales, Special Projects, etc. Additionally, all information was maintained by Locale within Country within Region within Business Unit. Subsequent implementations provide for multiple case studies and restructuring of functions within and amongst locations. The end result was intended to permit the client to restructure its enterprise on a worldwide basis, reorganize its facilities, reduce staffing, etc. It was my job to design and build the entire system.

¨      Worked with high level senior staff consultants to translate their needs to this automated environment. We were on a strict deadline. I finished the task in 67% of the scheduled time and with no work plan or project specifications provided by either the client or Andersen.

 

DuPont Corporation, Consultant

 

  • Implemented Year 2000 Project Tracking in Access Professional for DuPont Corporation.

Responsible for the design and implementation, with no client provided work plan or specifications, a third party compliance tracking system. Assembled information coming from over 1000 vendors to DuPont that indicated the status of Y2K compliance of those vendors. This was critical because if a supplier failed to provide its product(s) to DuPont then DuPont could be materially affected. The end results of this system provided meaningful statistics and reports to Y2K Project Management team(s) who subsequently continued to track and offer assistance to vendors.

¨      Designed, developed and sold a detailed Quality Control/Quality Assurance Laboratory Management System following GMP and ISO 9000 standards.

 

International Specialty Products, Inc. ,Consultant, 2/1996-7/1997

 

¨       The initial application was a conversion of a FoxPro based Certificates Of Analysis production system. Responsible for translating this system into an Access 2.1 version. Acquired a great deal of knowledge about COA and underlying QA/QC requirements for the issuance of a COA. As a result, I studied ISO9000 and GMP constructs as relates to both QC/QC laboratory processing and software systems in general and subsequently included software related compliance issue into a general purpose fully secured product which manages and tracks major components of QA/QC laboratory management day-to-day operations.

¨      Worked with the Manager of QA/QC for a major chemicals corporation in acquiring my awareness and fully satisfied all aspects of large scale tracking and management.

¨      Designed and developed a detailed Docketing System for the legal profession.  Business analysis using Excel, MS Word, MS Project, etc.

·        Assisted management in determining conversion approaches of a DOS based publication application into a Windows environment.

¨      Implemented real-time project, reconstructed sales order, purchase order, inventory, Converted the IBM mainframe-based environment to distributed computing. 

¨      Accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other systems, for four remote sites. 

¨      Selected, purchased, and configured  all hardware and software, trained all personnel, established all communications.  

¨      Performed Systems design, project management, hardware recommendation and network evaluation.

·        Ran the data processing center for Alma International.

·        Consultant to President of corporation providing technical design and implementation expertise. Implemented tracking systems, software products marketing strategies, and related services for DeskTop Financial Solutions, Fynex Systems, Marketing Resources of America, Alma International, 1992-1994.

 

InterContinental Hotels Corporation, Consultant, 1990 to 1991

 

·        Responsible for the design, command and control a project spanning 80 worldwide locations and 350 people.

·        Ran weekly status meetings that brought together the Senior Executive VP of Information Systems and the heads of Finance.

·        Supervised the efforts of the local corporate headquarters staffs of both Finance and Information Systems involved in the project. 

·        Designed and implemented computer-based financial systems using “C” and Lotus 1-2-3 on PCs and AS400.

·        Created a project plan, supervised functions, and computerized the Performa Reporting Systems.  Performed liaison function between Finance and MIS.  The client could then report, determine inter/intra report verifications and validations, apply journal entry adjustments, perform rate conversion for 48 currencies, 250 entries, 50 schedules.

 

·        Was originally presented with a project plan that had failed to produce a working system for over two and a half years. After evaluation of this plan, it was necessary to start all over and create a new plan. Within 4 and 1/2 months we produced a working system which successfully accomplished every goal stated by management and met all deadlines as required by Federal Agencies. This resulted in the termination of all Federal fines and constraints, which were imposed upon the corporation due to its failure to comply with reporting requirements.

 

Booz Allen & Hamilton, Consultant, 2/1988 to 5/1989.

 

·        Reduced the time to produce the domestic, international, and consolidated tax reporting submission by 67% using a micro-to-mainframe computer-based solutions

 

Windjammer Software, Inc. Commercial Software Products Developer, 3/1987-1/1988

 

¨      Personally designed and wrote a 250,000 line “C” based PC-based financial support software product called NexView™.  This was a major commitment to product development in which a new paradigm was produced; a financial product that could reach out over any digital or telephone network, private or public, and access spreadsheet- and DBMS-based working records to produce consolidations and analyses of total organizational financial or other business activity.

¨      Prepared for a public offering, dealt with SEC Attorneys, issues revolving around a public corporation, etc. Also pursued and obtained the means to market NexView™. Incorporated NexView™ into a product line, negotiated a $3 millions public offering, raised $850,000 interim financing, hired a VP of Sales and Marketing, re-staffed technical functions, developed a business plan, negotiated U.S. and European distribution, designed a Comdex presentation, evolved a public relations campaign and advertising strategy, etc.

MDCR, Inc., Financial & Decision Support Products Developer

 

·        Owner/Partner/Principal Product Developer/Technical Operations Provider - Personally designed and implemented more than 95% of the IMPACT financial system, an IBM mainframe-based system programmed in PL/I and subsequently re-engineered in “C”.  IMPACT was sold across the United States.  Personally performed sales support and direct technical support to more than 100 corporate customers and more than 4000 users via five timesharing company outlets as well as to corporate clients who purchased the product, directly.

Other Commercial Software Product Development and Marketing

 

Created and supported the GENIE STATISTICAL TIME SERIES ANALYSIS system. The product was commercially marketed across the United States and in Europe by a large services corporation.  Supported sales and performed direct customer technical support.

 

Created SAIPACS, the Suez American International Portfolio Accounting System that was commercially marketed across the United States and in Europe.  Supported sales and performed direct customer technical support.
