For 19 years, Mr. Russ has performed successfully in all phases and roles of the software development life cycle involving many clients and their application portfolios. Howell has extensive program management, project management, and hands-on experience with regard to software architecture, design, development, quality assurance, quality control, and testing efforts including visioning, strategy, process design, planning, implementing, and operating relevant functions successfully. Howell is also an expert regarding conception and implementation of test strategy, test environment management and configuration control, automated test tool portfolio selection & implementation, test planning and design, test environment architecture, software configuration management, test design, test execution, test validation, development defect repair coordination, and production deployment at enterprise application level. Howell is an expert at mentoring method and process design within and surrounding software testing operations implementation, customization, and operation. He has a talent for assessing the available techniques and tools available within the client environment (including but not limited to automated testing, data manipulation, configuration management, build management, etc.) to improve testing productivity and throughput. He has architected proprietary test data manipulation tools and oracles for many clients which he has implemented successfully. Howell has performed development and testing on enterprise applications over many heterogeneous technical platforms ranging from mainframe/host systems to distributed, multi-tier, client/server applications and application portfolios. Mr. Russ has successfully employed manual and automated testing tools and techniques to fully exercise software under development to achieve a variety of verification objectives. These tools have included test design management tools, key-capture/playback, test script automation, as well as various forward, regression, performance, and load testing tools.
