SAP implementation to streamline business processes and develop an integrated suite of systems across the company. Scope of implementation: FI-CO, MM, SD, PP, QM modules, On-line stores and a E-business solution for one manufacturing plant, 4 regional offices & 18 distribution centers using ASAP methodology. The e-business solution consists of a virtual office for sales executives to operate on SAP using the Internet. The off-line option was made available with synchronization done on connectivity. The transactions covered were for sales, GR for stock transport orders, sales calls and Customer complaint handling.

·         Configuration of QM Notification process. Quality notifications are created for customer complaints logged on the web by the customer / employee using the online store component (IAC’s) customized for Osram. Used status profiles for control of notification approval processes.

·         Development of logic for a program to create credit memo requests for quality notifications for a product with reference to the invoiced quantity for the product / user exits used in vendor evaluation, screen exits for capturing batch number of finished products, reports to calculate ppm level of defects found and developed layouts, reports for inspection results and quality notifications.

Siemens Limited - Nashik Works, India                                       June 1999 to September 1999

 

One of the manufacturing unit of Siemens Ltd. was being formed into a separate company Electronic Motion and Control Limited. The plant was fully operating on SAP and the hive-off was to be done in SAP as a separate company in the existing client in the same server under the existing Operating concern and controlling area with the same Chart of Accounts. The project scope included setting up of Inter-company transactions with Siemens Ltd. The scope was later modified to map the process as a separate division instead of a new company. Hence, new profit centers were created under the same company code.
