MAJOR PROJECTS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS (recent)

2005 – TMW Suite System Implementation

The scope of this Transportation Industry project involved a full migration from a legacy ERP system to the TMW Suite of applications.  Data conversion of all master files (equipment, drivers, carriers, etc) as well as extensive functionally customization was required.

2005 - MS-Business Solutions (Great Plains) Implementation

The objective of this project was to develop one time conversion and ongoing integration modules for both a legacy ERP system and Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS).   Conversion modules were built to transfer customers and open AR transactions, suppliers and open AP transactions including un-reconciled cheques, GL chart of accounts and budgets from the legacy system and the MBS. Modules were developed to integrate Account Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger daily transactions between the legacy system and the MBS system.    Data integrity controls were developed to ensure data accuracy.

2004 – Prodigy Cross Dock Freight Verification System

As an extension to an existing database application, the system enabled cross dock verifiers to electronically verify scheduled inbound and outbound freight through multiple cross docks.   This solution used radio frequency and 2D bar code technology.  This application reduced operational headcount by 25% and increased productivity and accuracy dramatically.

2003 – Prodigy Electronic Driver Logs System

This was a major enhancement to the Mobile Satellite System that integrates vehicle/driver activity with the host database application for DOT/MTO verification and Fuel Tax reporting.    Driver log accuracy increased significantly as well as the elimination for manual driver logs.

2002 – Prodigy Mobile Satellite Integration

Participated on a team to implement satellite   enabled applications and equipment in a truck fleet (250 units).  The application in the trucks was developed to integrate with a host based database server application.   I was responsible for the front-end integration components that interfaced between the host server application and a third party satellite communications system.

2001 – Clarify ERP Implementation

This IT Service Industry project involved converting from an existing legacy ERP System to an updated ERP system.     Involved functionally customization and data conversion activity.

2000 – Lutherwood Employment Services System

This project required an accelerated development cycle due to a government ministry funding deadline.   The main function of this application was Employment Services Client Tracking.  It provided client record management including client skills inventory and placement history. Client skills were matched to open placement requirements.  A billing component was also developed to handle the government’s milestone billing requirements.

MAJOR PROJECTS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS (history)

1999 – Dispatch-1 Warehouse Automation System

As an extension to an existing database application, the system enabled warehouse staff to electronically confirm inventory receipts and shipments.   This solution employed radio frequency and 2D bar code technology.  This application reduced the warehouse staff requirement by 4 and reduced office staff by 2.

1998 – Dispatch-1 ERP System Implementation

This IT Service Industry project involved converting from an existing legacy ERP System to an updated ERP system.     Involved functionally customization and data conversion activity.
