The project consisted of creating a new Timesheet application for a specific group of Canada Post employees. The following summarizes key tasks that Mr. Antle performed:

 

  • Developed 15 RFC outbound BAPI interfaces to export SAP HR data to an external custom .NET application;
  • Unit tested and documented new ABAP programs;
  • Developed a new RFC inbound ABAP interface to authenticate users in SAP;
  • Developed a new RFC inbound ABAP interface to import timesheet data into SAP HR from a custom .NET time sheet application;

GOCM (Government of Canada Marketplace) Project – Task 2

Mr. Antle provided technical SAP services to IBM Canada for the GOCM Project at the Federal Government. This project is a continuation of the work that was started in project 16.

The project included the implementation and customization of mySAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) version 5.0, and SAP Catalog Content Manager (CCM) version 2.0. The following summarizes key tasks that Mr. Antle performed:

 

  • Designed, developed, and unit tested modifications to the OCI interface from SRM to CCM;
  • Worked with the business team to create functional and technical designs;
  • Created new user defined fields in SRM documents to allow saving new attribute the CCM catalogue;
  • Implemented and programmed several BADIs to enhance the SRM application;
  • Created an inbound BAPI interface to track non registered users and allow them to log into SRM and view catalogs;
  • Created a custom Purchase Order form using the Smartforms tool;
  • Created 4 online, web enabled, transaction programs  to allow users to maintain SAP data;
  • Developed Internet services to web enable SAP programs using HTMLB;
  • Researched problems, created OSS notes, and applied OSS notes to correct the problems; and
  • Implemented several BADIs to enhance the CCM Catalog.

SAP HR Upgrade project

Mr. Antle provided technical SAP services to Canadian Blood Services for their SAP Upgrade project. The project was an upgrade from version 4.5B to version 4.7 Enterprise, and encompassed modules FI, CO, MM, and HR. The following summarizes key tasks that Mr. Antle performed in the OM, PA, PD, payroll and benefits areas of the HR module:

  • Helped compile a list of SAP Objects that require analysis and reprogramming;
  • Investigated problems with payroll rules, payroll operations, and user exits;
  • Corrected problems in numerous custom HR ABAP programs, BAPIs, and function modules because of Unicode requirements and payroll cluster changes, and tax infotype changes;
  • Tested and documented ABAP code changes;
  • Developed 3 new ALV ABAP reports to aid with the conversion of old tax infotype data to new tax infotypes;
  • Reapplied customer modifications to SAP objects using the SPAU and SPDD tools;
  • Implemented a new BADI; and
  • Assisted the acceptance  testing team with testing the upgraded system.

Mr. Antle provided technical SAP services to IBM Canada for the GOCM Project at the Federal Government. The purpose of this project was to provide the government with a tool to allow purchasers for the federal government to shop online and buy products and services from numerous suppliers and vendors. The project included the implementation of mySAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Supplier Self Service (SUS), SAP Enterprise Buyer (EBP), SAP Netweaver, SAP BW, and Requisite BugsEye. The following summarizes key tasks that Mr. Antle performed:

 

  • Designed, developed, and tested modifications to the OCI inbound interface from SRM to BugsEye;
  • Worked with the business team to create functional and technical designs;
  • Created new user defined fields in SRM documents to allow saving new attribute values in the BugsEye catalogue;
  • Implemented several BADIs to enhance the SRM application;
  • Modified several IDOCs to include new user defined fields;
  • Developed 2 online transaction programs to allow support personnel to maintain custom configuration tables;

Mr. Antle provided technical SAP HR services for the SAP HR Identity Management Project at CP Ships. The purpose of this project was to create, or update users, on the Microsoft Active Directory using employee HR data from SAP. The following summarizes key tasks that Mr. Antle performed:

 

  • Gathered requirements from CP Ships’ business team and wrote techno/functional spec for a report and an interface;
  • Designed, developed, and tested a HR outbound interface to extract SAP HR data and send it to the Microsoft Active Directory via the LDAP connector located on the Web Application Server;
  • Configured the mapping for the LDAP connector on the Web AS using a BADI;
  • Created test data and test scripts, as well as user documentation, for the new programs; and
  • Performed a knowledge transfer to the technical support team and the functional support team.

  • Gathered requirements from business support personnel and wrote program specifications;
  • Provided guidance and support in helping key team members streamline the generation of and distribution of reports;
  • Assisted Bank of Canada staff with creating SAP Query reports and with validating new reports;
  • Applied OSS notes to SAP FI and HR Standard reports;
  • Copied and modified SAP supplied BAPIs to accommodate the Banks unique business requirements;

  • Gathered requirements from SAP HR users;
  • Wrote technical designs and documentation for reports and inbound BDC data feeds (interfaces);
  • Coded and tested an ALV report;
  • Created new custom table in the Data Dictionary containing user defined fields. Associated data elements and domains were also created;
  • Coded and tested a new inbound interface from a third party to import consolidated multi-piece pricing information into SAP;
  • Utilized BAPIs to retrieve sales order information from SD tables;
  • Managed development requests to ensure all objects were migrated to production in the correct sequence; and

  • Translated technical design documentation into documentation for non specialists to aid them in creating test criteria;
  • Modified an existing SAPscript form and tested it;
  • Coded and tested 5 HR ALV drilldown reports;
  • Modified a data extractor program in BW to improve performance when retrieving data from SAP R/3 for loading into BW;
  • Created new function modules and used existing BAPIs to retrieve employee qualification information from HR Infotypes;

  • Wrote technical design and documentation for an Object Oriented (OO), interactive ALV report which lists all sales orders and deliveries that were created for mass product recalls;
  • Wrote technical designs for BDC programs which delete sales orders and the associated deliveries;

SAP Technical Analysis - SAP Transition Project at Canada Post

Mr. Antle provided ABAP and EAI technical expertise related to interface connectivity issues for a large SAP system as it was moved from Ottawa to Montreal.

The following summarizes key tasks Mr. Antle performed:

  • Researched technical documentation and created an inventory list of interfaces and their associated technical details;
  • Analyzed a large number of interfaces (over 150) to determine if there would be any connectivity problems after the SAP system transition from Ottawa to Montreal. Interfaces spanned the whole spectrum of SAP interfacing technology, including BDC, Call transaction, RFC, BAPI, XML, SeeBeyond eGate EAI, IDOC/ALE,  and simple flat file interfaces;
  • Performed system analysis and helped create a testing strategy for a sample of interfaces; and
  • Provided ABAP and EAI expertise during the testing of the interfaces.

SAP R/3 ABAP Development - SAP BT Meters Project at Canada Post

Mr. Antle  provided ABAP and EAI programming services related to the design and development of interfaces, reports, and Customer Exits (customer functions).  The following summarizes key tasks Mr. Antle performed:

  • Created ABAP Technical Designs for RFC enabled function modules;
  • Created technical designs for  3 ALV object oriented reports, custom screens, and customer exits;
  • Created technical designs for inbound and outbound data feeds (interfaces) including details on data selection control, data bundling, and data tracking and error controls within the interfaces;
  • Created eGate EAI Technical Designs for interfaces for SeeBeyond EAI middleware;
  • Developed and tested the ABAP code for several key components of the project. Development objects included Program Exits, 5 custom screens, 5 on-line transaction programs, interactive Object Oriented (OOP) ALV reports, custom function modules, custom data dictionary tables based on user defined fields, SAP table customizations using CI Includes and append structures, and 4 inbound interfaces using a combination of BDC and BAPI techniques;
  • Developed an interface using the SeeBeyond eGate middleware tool in the MONK programming language;
  • Participated in the User Acceptance Testing and supported the users during the UAT; and
  • Helped to train end users in some of the new functionality and tools that were developed.

  • Gathered information on the existing PeopleSoft system Bank of Canada personnel;
  • Reviewed system documentation on the various interfaces that the Bank of Canada has with external organizations;
  • Analyzed requirements for data feeds (interfaces) from a new SAP system to external organizations such as benefits providers and banking institutions;
  • Performed system analysis and design tasks to provided work effort estimates to develop and test new interfaces with SAP;
  • Provided work effort estimates to develop SAP reports and SAPscript forms;
  • Helped work on a proof of concept with the SAP ESS (Employee Self Service) and ITS (Internet Transaction Server) products; and

SAP R/3 Technical Analysis - SAP / PeopleSoft Study for PWGSC

Mr. Antle participated in a study for PWGSC and helped to gather the requirements from PWGSC to determine the COTS solution best suited for PWGSC. Mr. Antle helped determine the interfacing requirements that the new COTS solution would need to satisfy for approximately 80 government departments as well as CCRA. The following summarizes key tasks Mr. Antle performed:

  • Gathered system information from PWGSC personnel;
  • Analyzed requirements for data feeds (interfaces) from a new SAP system to other government departments and to CCRA;
  • Provided work effort estimates to develop and test new interfaces from SAP;
  • Provided preliminary design and work effort estimates to develop SAP reports and SAPscript forms;
  • Helped write the document outlining the findings of CGI’s analysis.
