Jean-Pol’s core competences reside in the
definition, the start-up, the management and the roll-out of complex projects
requiring the synergy between business strategy, organizational
change and IT implementation.
His strengths are in his business-oriented vision, his capability of integrating
organizational aspects, his broad I.T. knowledge and his charisma to obtain the
adhesion of a wide variety of stakeholders. He cumulates creative vision with
the capability of putting this vision in concrete form by working out with
minutia implementation aspects enabling the project to deliver its expected business
benefits.
Jean-Pol
possesses a wealth of experience in IT program and project management, tactical
and strategic planning, application design and development, system design and
operation, selection and implementation of various software packages, system
integration, tender production, offers evaluation, systems benchmarking, functional
and technical evaluation of IT departments, outsourcing of IT operation, IT
security engineering and IT audits.
On
the business side he has worked for a broad spectrum of economic sectors,
private and public, both pan-European and national. The telecom and energy
sectors are well represented among his former customers. He has identified and
implemented major improvements to business processes, managed change within and
across organizations, lead strategic studies and re-engineered operational
activities. He has always subordinated the scope of the IT engagements to well
targeted business needs and opportunities and required technological
improvements to rest on sound financial and methodological grounds. He pays
particular attention to communication at all levels of an organization to
ensure a broad buy-in.
His
extra-professional interests lie in the fields of chaos, complexity,
artificial life and artificial intelligence. He is convinced that organizational
engineering as well as microeconomics and macroeconomics have a lot to gain
from a better understanding of those domains and from applying their paradigms.
